Usually disappointed because we spent more time in the safe zone between games, than playing airsoft... :/

If the DMR is 400 fps or lower but you have 20-30 meters of minimum engage distance, then there is no point in getting one, simply use an AEG and make it perfect. On the site I've been a few times here, 98% of ppl have decent looking gun and absolutely cr*p useful engagement distance. Mostly because they use 0.20g BBs and don't spend time to set the hopup. If you are a sniper, you already know you must spend a few hours just to set the hopup and the sights. Use quality heavy BB too, and mostly single shots. I do use my gun this way and consider myself a dmr (even though I use just a red dot - you can perfectly see to 50-60 meters) and not having a minimum engagement distance is a huge advantage to actual DMRs. Between 350 and 400 fps there is absolutely no noticeable difference if your gun is set up right.

Don't buy nimh anymore. Lipo is better in every aspect. Size, capacity, discharge rate, price.

Anybody ordered from hobby king? possibly scammed!

Usually all my stuff came fine from them. That mean about 20+ orders. But when china suddenly stopped lipos in airmail, it took almost a year for them to send it. The shipping got more expensive and I didn't want to pay more for them for it, then finally they re-sent it through Fiji for some reason and that got lost too. It took many-many emails and at the end some harsh words from me until finally I got what I paid for. They are not helpful and very slow on complaints. -
The Desert Eagle is ridiculously big. Decide only after you have already held both of them. As far as I know the extended mag is only available for the glock.

As far as I remember - and it's been years I've taken apart a KA M4 - the pins are locked, so you can't push them all the way through, but they stop right before falling out. They are retained by a tiny spring loaded ball that is held in place by a tiny allen screw. To take out the gearbox you must remove the rear pin. Maybe this retaining mechanism is screwed in too tight so it won't allow the rear pin to move. Look for a tiny hole on the other side as the picture near and perpendicular to the pin.

I use a simple Tasco 4x40 scope on my sniper gun, very similar to what you've linked and it's very-very good. And cheap. I had a 4x32 but it was a bit small for my taste.
-
Yeh, can be fun. But it needs some expensive equipment.

Pull the charging handle a bit.
-
Then sniping may not be your thing.

In our airsoft society you have to earn being called elite, or special, or things like that or people will just mock you about it. People like me.
-
Gun is cool. Grippod is horrid.
-
As a Colonel? Sorry, it's way too elite ninja specops for me.
-
How did you earn those ranks? "We are fast growing elite..." what's the grow rate? I see you have 3 members now.
-
This is what works best for me. I made these (actually I was into manufacturing mesh masks before the chinese ones came out). It is lowered to my shemagh and when danger is close, I simply pull up before my mouth. Granted, it only protects the teeth but only the teeth and eyes don't grow back. You can put it up or lower it even without hands in need, and you can aim the gun perfectly even if it's up.

Did you get batteries? Chances are that the battery that came with it is not quite new. Instead of buying a cheap charger for a questionable battery, you can do 2 things: Get a decent charger that can charge everything. Ebay for imax b6 with power supply. With that you will be able to switch to lipo later. Or get a cheaper lipo charger (only for lipo and li-ion: ebay for imax b3) and a lipo battery for the gun. Check out hobbyking.com (eu warehouse).

Welcome. First of all, it's not marker, it's RIF or IF depending on it's colour. RIF is realistic imitation firearm, IF is imitation firearm (aka two-tone). Or you can say replica, or airsoft gun. Coming from paitball usually it's hard to treat airsofters equal and for airsofters it's just as hard to treat paintballers equal. There seem to be a bit tension between the two. Both have their positive and negative sides, they are just different even though they are so similar for the outsider. So you have the advantage that you already know much but there are many-many things to unlearn. Anyway, it's fun. Welcome.

At one point in my life I got one of these (from gunfire I think): I had to take it apart, clean it and put teflon tape between the barrel and the hop uint, but after that it shot amazingly. I think it was around 320 fps, but It could hit a head size target at a measured 40 meter every single time. However springer shotguns are not quiet. If you want to go for that, get a springer bolt action and put some silencing in. Those can shoot on low power without any noise. If I had time/money, I would try a winchester like gun. That's faster than a bolt action but might be quieter than a shotgun. But that's just a guess, I never had actually taken apart one of those.

Sounds like the spring guide is broken. If its factory parts. If there are upgrade parts, a few more things can go wrong.

The "I'm a dum ass and should not be aloud out alone" thread

Erm. It seems you shot with the windows closed... -
I guess it would be a valid addition to the questions if the distance was measured with tape/laser rangefinder or just eyed/guessed.
-
If you can't hit the target at a certain range, it's not the gun you need to change. Well, except if it's really-really crap. No matter how far the gun shoots, there will always be a range that's too far for it. You need to learn to engage the target only at a distance where you can hit it. So just learn to go closer instead of fighting ballistic.

If you are considering the Ares one, take a look at it's Boyi clone. I made the initial checkup on one fresh from Gunfire and I was definiately amazed by it. And I'm not that easily impressed. Sure the box is unique, but shooting it felt great and after cleaning and shimming it was the most accurate out of box AEG I've ever seen. The externals were also outstanding.
-
A phillps and a flat screwdriver, an allen key set, one or two electrical tapes. I also have on me but never used: spare hopup rubber and a foldable barrel cleaning thing.
-
Just guessing: maybe the nozzle or the tappet plate broke and somehow multiple BBs are fed for each shot so they hit each other in the barrel. Does it fire that badly on single shot too and is there only one BB per shot?
