    Decided I want a proper watch instead of a £15 one every year and a bit. Are G-shock a good choice? Are the cheaper ones anygood (lower than £80)?

      only thing wrong with G-Shock is they don't like Makita tools / the only more user friendly watch i've had was a really decent fake rolex with self wind, nr sweep, etc & all steel frame so it didnt look too bad either - got stolen :(

      Got an old g-shock which must be about 10 years old now, still working perfectly. Found it too bulky though. Also got a Fossil which is a nice watch.

      go for it, I remember doing the 55 miler back in 2000, we smashed it in 13 hours, not sure I could do that now :)

      Do the horses count for 2 infantry and the cannons for 3? It was never explained properly in the rulebook, just that they can be converted that way.

    I'm getting RC planes then a quadcopter/drone. When I first had one of those 9.99 RC helicopters -infrared- I though I'd throw it out the window and fly it........*tactical facepalm* Its infrared.........

      Paintball is okay, but you get covered in crap, and it doesn't always wash out properly: Had a nice M65 O/D combat jacket ruined by paintball paint which wouldn't wash out properly.

    Wish there would be more ww2 games that involved dog fights and British troops. One with a great D-Day mission and North Africa missions. Also a World war 1 game would be great, with dogfights in the SÈ.5a and missions in Gallipoli and the Battle of Jutland.

      Get an airsoft grenade and roll it into the room when your parents are having Xmas dinner and yell 'fire in the hole!' When the BBs hit them, point out that your were able to get a two kills without pointing a gun at them and no guns were pointed at you either. Sorted.

      A bit of sideways thinking, but maybe the best way to convince them that it's so far away from the real thing is to actually take them for a game? Let them see for themselves? Could be both hilarious and educational...

    For the D-day diorama, I'm split between making my own base out of polystyrene etc or buying this for the base and using the coastal defence fort for the top.
