  1. Sounds like the sights might need adjusting rather than anything wrong. Would be good to get a cleaning rod (or making one) because its always worth cleaning the barrel.

Re-living the good days ? What do you like the look of in the sub gun genre?

Welcome ? Do you mean to actually play indoor CQB games? That's jumping into the fast action ? I'd recommend a good'ol MP5 (JG or CYMA depending if you want metal body) Or MP5K for extra CQB points ? I think many player prefer a good pistol for pure CQB?
  4. Didn't do enough reading eh? ? Just kidding. Its impossible to only buy once. You have to try things out yourself to make a decision and tastes change too.
  5. Welcome Dave Yeah the fight to resist buying stuff is already lost ? Take your time and read lots so hopefully you don't regret any purchases.
  6. So your parents aren't involved? The easiest would be for a parent to play three games to get UKARA registered. Yes, anyone with UKARA can gift you a RIF.
  7. Oh, that's disappointing then
  8. Both should be good but personally I'd go for the Specna with electronic trigger (it'll be a basic mosfet but still good) and quick change spring (check reviews of how easy it actually is) Plus it comes will all the rails in case you need em. The Specna is also a tad heavier so will feel a bit more beefy Whichever you go for, first clean the barrel with the cleaning rod (that should be included) then give it a good test to make sure it all works as it should.
  9. Aye, welcome back then. So what's wrong with the gearbox? Stock of airsoft toys is quite low but there are a few good budget manufacturers now including DoubleEagle, JG and SpecnaArms.
  10. Try ARMA3
  11. I still find it very strange that no other companies have made a HP-MK3 considering how ubiquitous it was. But there are endless variations of less iconic pistols.
  12. Sure they're not great but I've got a few WE pistols and the Hi-Power is the only one with this problem. They used a stiff spring as the striker with the theory that it can flex up when the mag is inserted. The problem is the attachment point of the spring is too weak. Yeah, if it was made of steel it would probably work.
  13. Ah interesting. I can see on my other pistols that the striker is hinged so that it can move up when a mag is inserted and valve pushes up on it.
  14. I assume the older version (P35) had the same system. Maybe it was made of better material but its a poor design for sure.
  15. Welcome ? Duno the area but have a look HERE for sites nearby. Someone may give more specifics. Do lots of reading on the forum because there are answers to all your questions buried deep in the threads ?
  16. I'd be interested to know if they have improved the mechanism (I doubt it) Could you compare the new and old one?
  17. I broke the striker after only a few days. Then I looked online and found many people had the same problem. https://youtu.be/6nDSDEScEDQ I had to order a couple of replacement parts from KYAirsoft which took a long time to arrive.
  18. Haven't got both to test but as Nick said, 99% sure they are the same. (Remember to insert the mag only AFTER racking it)
  19. I had a good experience with 'Entrepot' too. Fast delivery and no extra charges (may vary)
  20. I've bought a couple of RIFs from them (a few years ago). They arrived after a couple of weeks with nothing extra to pay. Keep in mind that things can still go wrong with postage and I may have been lucky with import inspections but I think they are a reliable and trustworthy company. Definitely ask about availability first to be safe.
  21. The all in one protection works but keep in mind that the face mask is quite wide so will be very hard or impossible to look down the sights of a rifle. I would recommend a mesh facemask like THIS
  22. Yeah, modding can be hit & miss even with good parts they don't always play well together. Its obviously bedded in after about 6 years ?
  23. Technically you're allowed to use an airsoft (or air) weapon on private land as long as projectiles don't cross the boundary. (I know you won't be shooting anything) BUT as mentioned, do not underestimate the stupidity of some dog walker reporting a hostage situation of a photographer etc.... ?
  24. Are you aware that the piston should not be tight in the cylinder? The design relies on the air pressure entering the ports and expanding the loose rubber seal to make it airtight without much friction.
  25. Welcome ? Have a look around. Lots of info and .... er.... stuff... ?
