The Patrolbase link you posted says 'polymer receiver' ? God only knows with the BBGuns4Less one ?

Specna arms SA-SO2 Upgraded version (trigger problem).
EDcase replied to Retracs's topic in General Discussion
I don't have experience with that particular model but I strongly suspect the trigger sear has worn down so it can no longer hold the piston in the cocked position. Do a search on Youtube for "sear replacement" or something similar. Hopefully someone here may be able to help with specifics on what part you'll need to replace... -
The Double Eagle range have earned a good reputation but keep in mind that the body is polymer as you mentioned you wanted metal.

Welcome Its very difficult to say which is better because even if someone had them all to compare they could still vary in performance and reliability with other copies. I'm very happy with my Specna Arms Edge E-03 v1.0 and I have several standard CYMA's which work well too so the Platinum should(?) be even better. I don't have any experience with G&G rifles but they seem more expensive than other makes of similar spec. I would suggest getting the one you like the look of most. Give it a good test to make sure it works properly and enjoy. (The rear sight on the Specna Arms SA-H20 Edge V2.0 can be easily removed)

Ideally the hop unit should be able to move in/out a bit on the spring at the front. This ensures a good seal with the nozzle while allowing some movement margin in case of a miss feed so it doesn't damage the nozzle. The main thing for performance is to make sure the hop unit makes a good seal with the nozzle when in the extended (firing) position. But if the hop unit is too far back (from the front of the gun) it will put a lot of strain on the tappet plate in the gearbox and something will break.

Bit late to comment but I'm very happy with the Baofeng 888 I was lucky to get a set with the voice scrambler.

Many wise posts... Adding to the advice to rent at least the first game before buying a pew pew (I know its tempting): You may not enjoy it (remote possibility) But also you'll get a feel of the action which will help decide what kind of BB spitting toy suits your play style. ie long or short. Select fire (common assault type weapon) or full auto monster (support LMG) as a couple of examples. You'll be able to see the plethora of toys others are using and maybe have a go with some of them if you ask nicely ? Basically its the same advice starting any sport or hobby, don't rush into buying stuff and play it cool ? (...and call your hits ?)

ASG MAC-10 for a film project sometime around 2016 before I actually played in a game. Still got it but not used in a game yet ?
-
Welcome back to the madness ? As said above, first cleaning and re-greasing etc. (Don't use any lube in the hop area) You'll definitely need new batteries so now would be a good time to get a couple of Li-Pos and intelligent charger. There are several threads about what to get but the basics would be 7.4v with the highest mAh value that will fit. Our generally recommended charger is the SkyRC S65.

Might be better to cut those off and solder some wire extensions to a plug inside the stock. (Assuming you can do a bit of soldering) If you're near Reading or Bracknell I could do it for you.

For a general game day I would go for 120 or even more. Simply because that's what most others will be using against you. If doing a film sim day then I would consider 30 because that's what many will use and the focus is more on realistic combat. If you don't use that many rounds in a normal game then of course you can use 30 rounders to get a bit more mag changing action ?

My toys are to collect as well as skirmish so as soon as I get one I 'carefully' add wear so they look more authentic. This wear would take years to accumulate and I don't have the life expectancy to get em all done naturally? A few examples:

Just to throw something else into the blender... Have a look at Jing Gong (JG) offerings. Very good value for money especially if he doesn't mind a polymer body (weight will be more suited to him)

Its a tough situation for sure. Could well cause a rift between her and your son. (He will likely resist the brainwashing) Escalating is never a good situation. Let things cool down and hopefully she'll see he needs to get out more...

Yeah that's impressive fabrication
-
Impossible ?
-
I'm happy for you (and jealous of course) Let us know how it performs ? ...and yeah, it baffles me why no other manufacturer has made one before. So I don't derail the thread, here are my two new toys to play as DMR
-
Would love one but not for £500 ? ...and why the fuck did they make it a german variant !?!?!?!

Welcome ? If you've got a UKARA number then you're an experienced player ?? I'm sure local players will say 'hi' In the meantime have a look around. There's loads of info, banter and bull around here ?

Cool, just don't mix up your guns ?? You could always call airsoft 'Basic Infantry Weapons Training' ? I know the airsoft Joule limits are higher in the US. How does chrono work at the sites you play? Is it done with 0.2g or the whatever weight you play?
-
Well howdy partner. So what do your friends say when you tell them you play soldier with toy guns? ? ...or do you keep it a secret? ?

Welcome back ? Put some pics on Appraisals thread to get an idea how much it could go for... https://airsoft-forums.uk/forum/151-appraisals/

Yeah, loads of times ? I wasn't there in those days but in the late 80's Who remembers Ogri? ? ..and Jack...? (White lab coat with all the patches)

I wasn't so lucky ?
