  1. I just pointed out that 2 sites were selling for less that his quoted retail
  2. Overpriced as usual https://www.socomtactical.net/jg-sa58-fal-electric-blowback-aeg/
  3. Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK I guess this is why Gunfire will only take orders above £135
  4. Been doing a bit of digging and this is what I've come up with so far (I may be wrong of course) All this relates to Orders Totalling above £135 (Since Gunfire in particular require this for an order) You can look up the Trade Tariff Commodity Code relating to Airsoft here: https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff The code I found most relevant was 9304 (Other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons))... This category brings up this info Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK From what I read HERE, the VAT can be applied at source by the seller in the originating country if they're registered to do so (which most European suppliers already are) Or they may charge local TAX (which is higher than UK) (I don't think this is common for Airsoft though) If not included in the sale then it will be applied by Customs upon entering the UK and passed on to the post service who will ask you for payment before delivering (plus a handling fee because they have to pay Customs) So the VAT situation doesn't seem to have altered as most retailers add VAT to UK orders anyway. Going by the info above, the new fee is the Duty at 2% of the order value. (Not sure if that includes delivery costs) I've emailed Gunfire for their calculation of fees but not holding my breath for a clear answer. ....its a bloody mess...
  5. Still confusing ? Gunfire checkout says "VAT included" even above £135. I guess they haven't updated the website.
  6. So if buying from Gunfire for example... They add VAT for UK customers automatically. So if the value is above £135 (not including postage) then we still have to pay a customs handling fee?
  7. Duno if Bexit has affected imports from US
  8. Yep got the Gunfire email too. PayPal will also updated the rules for us from 1st Jan. (Haven't checked the details yet)
  9. I'd say 'Excellent job on that' And I do like my things worn ?
  10. As Impulse said, better to rent and get a feel for the game. This will help you decide what kind of kit you want to buy and with UKARA you'll be able to get a proper looking gat. Use this down time to read as much as you can. There are plenty of useful posts on this forum.
  11. Looks like a good place. Unfortunately too far for me to go ?
  12. After a bit of wear and an engraving service (I know the font isn't quite right but I'm happy with it) I also improved the hop so it shoots 0.25 quite well.
  13. I saw that and I am tempted but I think I'll still wait for the WE. Cheers Crom Very nice conversion @Darkmikey
  14. Yeah, I did get a P35 with moding in mind after seeing yours but it shot so badly that I had to return it. (I also want the plastic MK3 grips) I'll keep waiting for the new one...
  15. So jealous for the Hi-Power MK3. Still waiting for the WE but its been 2 years now ?
  16. Yeah I get your point but I prefer to give em a few days leeway before claiming for a refund.
  17. The seller is responsible for getting the item to you but the time taken is down to the delivery service. Especially relevant with the worldwide situation now, it can take longer than expected to receive an item. If the item does not arrive after the specified number of days given by the delivery company then its time to contact the retailer and give them the bad news...
  18. Yeah, that's probably true for most retailers.
  19. To be fair, you can't blame the seller for a PF delay.
  20. S&T/Snow Wolf did one. Hard to find a wood one now though. G&G and DoubleBell/Dboys do one but I think they use dummy shells.
  21. Yes, its taken me a long time to get used to this new age
  22. Not correct gear but close enough for airsoft I also have the AGM Sten to go with this
  23. Following the theme, here's my JG M4-A (XM177) Changed the foregrip for more correct round version
  24. They had early & late MK2 but seems not available anymore https://www.northeastairsoft.com/index_products.php?GNo=GBB+Replica&TNo=STEN+Machine+Carbine+GBB+Replica (I'm waiting for their UZI but not holding my breath...)
