  1. Fun day with my nephew, if somewhat technically gruelling. One AEG was misfeeding and DOA, one packed in during the day, so he ended up with the venerable CYMA M4 (still going strong) and pistol and I was down to a pump action shotgun. He also lost a pistol mag and dropped another and broke the feed lips, but stuff happens. Hopefully a bit less of a gear grinder next weekend.
  2. Expensive day's airsofting at Biohazard today with my nephew: he lost one Glockazine, and dropped another and cracked the feed lips.  Ah well, fun was had and nothing lasts forever except WuFlu restrictions.

  3. Ask a marshal to escalate it. I know, nobody likes doing it. I don't, we're there to play, not tattle. But more of us should. OK, I hereby personally pledge that every time I catch myself thinking "I wish someone would do something about that bellend" that I'll be the someone. Snitches get moral riches.
  4. Er, why weren't they hoofed off site for arguing the toss with a marshal? And why leave the site rather than having a word with the Grand High Wizard about what was going on?
  5. Sites that run entirely on Facebook, and only post their events to a "players" subgroup that you have to find, then apply to join.

    Are they trying to fail?

Given that they're still advertising places for next Sunday when every other site I've looked at is solidly booked out into October, they'd be better off taking God-Moders' money, then kicking them off site in the first game.

  6. Oh my God, they killed the Depot.

  7. [STAGE WHISPERS] It sold pretty much immediately.
  8. Praise where it's due, this is a pretty honest advert.
  9. Today was a good day to pew hard. My first day at Biohazard airsoft, an Old Abandoned Chemical Factory CQB site A late start and somewhat vague brief in a rather echoey safe zone weren't great, but then the actual play was really fun. I've been rather spoiled by the big indoors area of the Depot, but Biohazard know their site well, and tailored the games to make the best of it. There was actually more opportunities for stand-off firefights up the length of the site than at the Depot, or you could Billy in up the room maze in the middle with pistol and grenades. Short walks to spawn, quick turn-arounds, good marshalling, good value: yes, very happy with that.
  10. Is another word for tribe, and tribalism usually ends badly. Have you considered trying to change the way airsoft is played in Italy? It sounds like a recipe for gamesmanship and acrimony.
  11. I suspect his father was killed with a plastic 1911.
  12. Looks like I'm actually going to be able to play indoors on Sunday before Greet Leader Nicola shuts Scotchland down again.

I wouldn't touch her with yours.

Honestly, it's going to be hard, and hard to not just empty tracers into everything for the lulz of it.

  13. I have a message in my inbox. I hope it's challenging me to a duel... [UPDATE] Huh, more reasonable points. Look, just ban him, we don't need this sort of adult behaviour breaking out around here.
  14. It's nothing personal, really. It's just that sight and sound unseen, for all we know your friend is a ham-handed gibbon who's made it worse, it's the £95 plus postage gopping model with the M4 buffer which is going to have a limited market, the mid caps are handy but the blue bits just reduce the value further while not actually making it even close to being an IF. Used plastic CYMAs are bargain guns, I'm afraid. You're free to ask whatever you want, but I think you're more likely to be offered half of that, if you can find anyone who wants that model.
  15. Airsoft, I remember that... ? I honestly don't know how you handle that level of bad temper and gamesmanship. It seems orthogonal if not diametrically opposed to the ethos of airsoft.
  16. Sounds absolutely bang on though. It's why I'd always suggesting buying a sub-£100 VSR-a-like just to see if you enjoy it. Throw in a £20 spring and piston and you'll be up to 500fps, some cheap tuning and you're much of the way there. Nobritsch is selling a dream - his videos are basically marketing for how effective sniping is. And like all marketing, well, if you believe that, I have a bridge unskirmished fully upgraded SSG to sell you.
  17. Mmm, good observation. Possibly he's assuming that goods coming in from the EU aren't even checked by Border Farce, so he doesn't bother requiring a defence. After all, he's not subject to UK laws, it's purely an economic question of whether the toy gets delivered, returned, or destroyed. It does seem to mostly be US and Far East air mail shipments that people report being stopped, rather than stuff being trucked in from the Continent.
  18. Adds +10 stealth, legit.
  19. "have been upgrading it throughout so it has never been skirmished" A gnu that's sold as fully pre-awesomely upgraded out of the box. I pity the fool, really.
  20. I've given up waiting for the Depot to re-open (concern intensifies), and booked in for Biohazard in Stevenston next Sunday.

Oops, just a week to lose the lockdown lard.  I guess I'll cycle to buy the beer, butter and beef today.

  21. I think it's been bent down and to the right, but it's hard to see from that close up. I notice the cheeky fecker is using two full length pictures from before he mullered it. Very catfishy.
  22. Patina, m8, that'll buff out. Loving the gap between the upper and lower - has he been clubbing people with it? And why does he think a broken toy gnu is worth so mu... ohhh, "Kingdom of airsoft" Paid loads = worth loads. Is there actually a working gun to be had in there?
  23. £130 delivered from bbguns4less: https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/cyma-cm-703-l96-pro-sniper-rifle-in-blue.html £120 in black: https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/cyma-cm-703-l96-pro-sniper-rifle-in-black.html Only they don't even cost that. £120.90 and £111.60 after the 7% "secret" discount for leaving them in your basket for 24 hours. Ohhh... they quote 500fps. Must be true then. ?
  24. "New". And another dried-up-mags seller. How can you spend so much on a gas gun and yet know so little about them that you think having never pressurised the mags is a positive thing to list?
