Depending on the paint and the material you might need a primer or adhesion promoter. The tearing sounds like the paint might have been too thick and has skinned, with the other dry but softer material under the skin. Prep is always the key to success with paint; clean old coating, key and degrease, primer/adhesion layer, paint in thin layers so it doesn't skin and prevent cure. I'd clean it all off and have another go, possibly change paints to something more recognised, krylon etc.

Sold day at anzio for the battlesim on day. Objectives rolled out and wave reinforcement type spawns worked well. Other than the odd few trying to make up their own rules as they went along, including a bang bang rule, it was great. -
I like that, the pattern on the grip, love it.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

First game back after a knee reconstruction and also my first game of 2021, felt good to be out and about again. An open day at anzio with first and only. Good day, nicely run; some slight longer breaks for the less fit, and from what I saw some solid marshaling (taking no bull and following up on the site rules and even ejecting where needed). -
I've had a look at the mtw and they would fit the bill, as most stop n empty have proprietary mags, but the only thing putting me off is that it's 5.56.

Evening all. I'm rowing with the idea if going hpa but having come from mostly gas powered rifs I want to retain the stop on empty feature common to gas rifs and found in some aeg. Is there a drop in system that can have this feature by either piggy backing on an aegs electric stop function of a control system that has it? I'm thinking along the lines of the mtw but with being held to 5.56 styles.

Rumor that hobbyking is shutting the uk warehouse seems to true and they have some heavy discounts on batteries and other stuff at the moment. Also WE Katana variants are all sub £100, not sure if they are UK stock though.

It's not armour works, I know them, these are tagged A.W.E. and I can only find them on airsoft world website. I'm starting to think that they are a rebrand/dealer own kind of thing.

@SkaratSkara this is something. I've not found but I don't have a hi cappa and up until yesterday I'd only run m&p and baretta pistols. Thank you for the advice. Another question. Are A.w.e magazines any good? I hadn't seen the name before and the are tagged with being for the aap but I hesitated as I don't know them.

Afternoon all, I've joined the app-01 club, couldn't resist 20% off. First test shot and its lifting .3g nicely. Now I need some mags and such to make it game ready. As I understand stand, after reading the thread, it's WE g18 mags for best results and I have a question you lovely folks might be able to answer, regarding holsters. I've just tried it in my warrior holster which takes almost everything but the enlarged mag release sometimes catches the holster release, making the magaine come loose. How thick is the stock magazine release? Iis there enough meat there to dremel off the top and stipple the release?

That's not news that's nice to hear.

Jumped in to follow along as I ordered one last weekend.

I've had a simar issue. I use these leads with my sporttac. Like you k had a stereo lead for the when I'm using the headset at work and listening to my phone (audio books etc). The mics are often mono despite looking like a stereo plug and after switching to a mono cable when plugged into the mic it worked great. I wouldn't have been my first thought especially after opening the mic to check the wiring but I spoke to jci communication and the issue is on the peltor side. I now have a stereo lead in the van for work and a mono tied into my plate carrier for radio use.

We have all suffered through covid, the site owner is no exception, but they aren't going about recovery if that is how they treat folk who choose to play at the site. Anyone who has decent leasure retail experience will tell you its not the one-offs that grow a business, its the repeat client. Once they go then things get very tricky. I know, as I'm sure others here do, that as self employed folk things are as hard now as ever as we have had to dip into savings, cut back, find cost saving where we can to survive. Slapping the faces of locals and regulars isn't the way to do it. -
I use wera tools for quite a few of my hand tools. So far they have been great and they have a diverse range so you should be able to find what you want.

The Most Boring Noob Question - Knee Pads?
concretesnail replied to 38super's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Like you I'm in the shorter leg category, but need to wear knee protection with work as well as play. I've found over the years there's no sub for good kit. I've moved most of my kit to clawgear of late, as they are tailored well and the knee protection is adjustable as to its position and fit. I appreciate it is not the cheapest of gear but I've found both the raider and operater to be great. -
I have the 308 variety of the tr16 and so far it's been great. Went 308 as the site I play want dmr in calibre greater than 5.56, meaning long m4 doesn't count. I have the parts to dmr it I just haven't done it yet as it was so good running it as a battle rifle. Size of mag well aside, they are more or less the same internally. Weak point would be the mosfet, but perun make an upgrade unit which is cheap and plugs straight in. The only other change I'd note is that the piston head isn't ported but not everyone wants ported. It hopped point 3s out of the box and ran about 338fps (on .2s). Would I buy it again. Yes.
-
Unlikely. I have the 308 variant of the tr16 and a 1450 cell just slides into the slots. The cells would be too thick/square unless you changed the stock. Have a look for crane stock batteries and make sure you get/a good balance charger.
