  1. People really need to stop overvaluing pre-Covid GHK AKs. Even if new ones are a diceroll between being vaguely functional and absolute dogshit, it doesn't make a ten year old V2 design the holy grail lmao.
  2. Only exception IME is some zestier blowback setups, but even then they don't track to how real firearms recoil. (Zero muzzle flip, and are typically tuned to just throw the reciprocating mass back hard). Hell you can go as far as Koreans custom-machining tungsten parts with 600PSI input pressure to create something that rattles more than a real AR. (Mostly due to the complete lack of locking mechanism and just generally idiotic design). Plus you can make Airsoft guns as heavy or heavier than real ones, but it'll cost you.
  3. Nov pistols are perfect for someone who wants a KJW pistol and has spare money to donate to an Austrian Youtuber in need.
  4. Did they do anything good?
  5. I wonder if resin infill would prevent the electronics being shaken to death.
  6. Real mark of the quality you get on Used Airsoft in general
  7. My first game day since breaking three bones in my ankle back on early January. The venue? Section 8 Airsoft. The weather? Appalling hot for we Scottish folk up here. In between managing to drink three litres of water and sweating it back out immediately, I had a grand time. Had to take the rough terrain at a walking pace, which it turned out isn't that much of an impediment really. I even managed to stay ahead of the usual Treehuggers, who glue themselves to a piece of cover after getting shot at and don't move for five solid minutes First time bringing out my VFC G3, which performed admirably, and my VFC AR, which uh, less so. The G3 was more than enough gun to carry the day and I got a couple of surprisingly distant hits with it. (The sheer joy of "suppressing" a guy hiding in foliage and seeing the hand go up. Very fun). The site marshals had a split schedule planned. In the morning they ran a few skirmishy games to get people moving. Typical attack/defend with swapping over, and a domination game across three locations. The site is really fun with a lot of variation in cover, height, topography, so it's easy to keep it interesting. The second half of the day was a crack at a longer, more narrative style game. This one had a couple of the issues these tend to have, a few too many rules not quite explained well enough for a wide variety of experience levels and playstyles. It was quite fun, but there's definite tweaks to be made to the rulesets. I trust them to run it well after some testing. Overall the marshalling was very good, and play in general was very good. My team were competent, my opponents slightly moreso, and only one guy really stood out as being cheeky. (He was promptly sent home). Plenty of good banter, just a really great day.
  8. These things truly are toxic, huh
  9. This is why there's only like, three Airsoft YouTubers I watch. Most reviews they just unbox it, plink at a target in their garden, and maybe put it through a chrono before telling you it's incredible and to buy it immediately.
  10. WGCShop, Redwolf, JKArmy, Tiger111HK. Also check Taiwanese ones like Proact, especially for VFC stuff.
  11. You just put your UKARA on the box, customs don't care. They'll just chib you 20% of the stated value, same as always.
  12. HPA are sometimes handy. Firesupport has a lot of very random parts in stock that can also be handy. Other than that the markup on GBB, especially mags, is insane.
  13. Man, it's such a niche rifle that there's no adjustable valve options. It doesn't even have an inbuilt flute valve.
  14. Buying GBBRs from a shop in the UK is where you're going wrong tbh.
  15. It's the Ares gas sniper right? No adjustable valve or the like to control the power output?
  16. People say that to me a lot
  17. Man I'm way too Scottish to spend that on an end cap
  18. Am I just way out of touch with real steel prices or is £50 for the end cap of a torch the pisstake I think it is? https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/66331-genuine-surefire-z68-tailcap-2-available-£50-each-£80-for-both/ £165 for a Spitfire also kinda on the high side ngl
  19. This feels like when someone is selling a belt kit and they absolutely refuse to split it. My brother in Christ it has three grenade pouches and Scorpion Evo specific kydex pouches. The number of customers looking for that exact loadout is basically zero. Just sell me the belt with one of the grenade pouches and the dump, please.
  20. Ol' Reliable right here
  21. Got help from a friend across the pond, managed to pick up some furniture for my AK. Needs a replacement handguard then a good bit of wear to get the look I'm wanting.
  22. Kinda railroads the options into only a Rhodesian fit, on top of just looking bad. Like, they only used that paint because they couldn't buy real paint. Absolute pain in the arse to strip it off without damaging the underlying finish. Not to mention Rhodesia being a bit shit to do an impression of in the first place.
  23. Honestly the weird thing on that note is seeing kids posting like, "roast me bros I can take it bros just roast me mate," with like a catastrophically mid loadout and I start to wonder if it's a weird masochistic thing they do these days. I'm so glad I grew up in the era of internet where you didn't post face or name, it would've been a disaster.
  24. Last time one of these came up it went for £600 with like 8 mags. Cos the shit paint job.
  25. Make friends with an American online and get them to buy it on your behalf, repackage, and ship it to you. Just make sure you're not ordering any pressure bearing components such as barrels, gas blocks, bolt carriers, etc. (Why would you anyway?) Customs doesn't give a shit about furniture, get your pal to slap your UKARA on it just in case.
