  1. Wait... They make it in tan?!? Well that sucks...
  2. The pistol appears to be a CYMA CM123. AEP 1911 and all that. Uses CYMA CM030/G18C AEP mags. The AK is more difficult, as we have no idea what you've modified/added in terms of externals. That being said, it looks like it could be the CM076E, but the mags are different, it has a different stock, and different flash hider. However that is most likely it.
  3. Yea its basically precut square foam sticks. You just pluck out the ones you want and it shapes decently. Look at my posts on the previous page about my HK417A2/G28 project - thats a pluck foam case.
  4. The old girl got a face-lift In all honesty I've been wanting to do a KWA Vector build for forever. I've lurked on the FB page for some time now, and had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I knew one thing was needed for sure before I invested time and money into the project - an HPA drum. Ive tried the GBB primary route and despised it for a single reason - the mags. Thats why Ive converted so many of my GBBs to Daytonas - WE Masada, VFC M27, etc. Especially here in the States, where its all about highcaps and volume of fire (I do miss UK airsoft; running around The Mall with my TM GBB MP7 or dual pistols...). While I dont need 1000 shots to get a hit, 40ish shots was a bit too little, especially when you go to reload and find your mag has leaked all the gas out. So a drum is a must. As such, my Vector has sat, and sat. Then, I got an offer. It was a bit steep IMO but I took it, and then I was the proud owner of a broken Reaper Airsoft Customs drum mag for the Vector. Let the build begin! The repair ended up being easy - a lot of epoxy and drying time and it was good to go. I didnt want to use a cheap China clone for a sight like I have on some of my builds - Ive had Daytonas throw off their zeros before. So I used a spare Vortex Sparq AR red dot I had. Magpul MOE irons and AFG2 mod to match my real Vector, Ace1Arms right hand mag release (so much easier when using the drum), replica Surefire M600DF light and my signature blue-lasered PEQ hooked up to a dual pressure switch. I also had to add a 45* rail for the torch so that I could still fold the stock. I have a Defiance .45 ACP suppressor but I am unsure if I will use it due to not needing an increased inner barrel due to FPS gains... Cover the remaining rails with ladder covers and add a sling swivel stock pin and the build is (externally) done. Still need to decide on what to do inside though... Yes @rocketdogbert I will use the FB page for that.
  5. I personally hate cutting foam cases; having moved entirely to pluck foam myself. But you can't deny that when done properly, it looks so much better haha.
  6. I wonder if a genuine Kriss brace/tube setup would fit... Might have to test that out next month...
  7. See, I kinda want to do this, as my RS vector has a brace. Just to make the two even more similar...
  8. I like. I’m sure you will but post a pic when it’s all together - I might have to do this to mine.
  9. 2x short KWA Vector mags... for 110 quid. Quite the steal.
  10. See, sometimes Airsoft Apps like HopUp can be just an abysmal place to try to buy and sell. No, a new barrel in your CM16 does not make it worth 400 quid. But every once in awhile something amazing happens - you get a Krytac LMG upper, r-hopped inner barrel, and two box mags for 180. Or you get 5x Gen 1 SR-25 P-mags for 100. Or, like this time, you get 2x leak free KWA Vector Short Mags for the low price of 110 quid. Now thats a bargain haha.

  11. Well, thats another quarantine project done. Introducing the HK 417a2. It started life as two G28s; G28 LE #227 and G28 standard #IDontCareEnoughToCheck. #227 was my original G28 LE that Ive had for awhile, but it just kind of sat around as it was heavy, loud, and comparatively ineffective at range compared to my other DMRs. I wanted to upgrade it, but I wasn't sure what to do. Then comes the standard. I bought the standard off a secondhand airsoft app in November of 2019. It was a bastardization of a 417 and G28 - G28 receivers, grip, and outer barrel, but 417 buffer tube, stock, and rail. I didnt really care as it was dirt cheap and already had some decent upgrades in it. Turns out I should have cared, as not a month later the lower receiver cracked. Real bad. It may be repairable but itll be obvious. So I was left with a semi-upgraded but broken G417 and a stock G28 LE. Now, between these two I built a 417 for a mate. I believe I posted it here, but it involved making a custom fitting to mount a PTS UBR stock to it. I looks good, and works well. It also gave me some experience building 417s that I didn't have before, and it gave me an appreciation for the "Battle Rifle" class of weapon. Essentially, a BR is a carbine-length DMR. This would include short-barreled AR-10s, Scar mk17s, etc. In airsoft you follow rifleman rules. It just looks fancier. Around this time I started toying with the idea of creating my own BR, but in typical Spaz fashion it had to kind of stand out. Knowing how much of a pain VFC mk17s are to upgrade, I shied away from them, but 417s are expensive, with an approx $450 price tag. Add in the $500ish in internals I would have to do to field it and things weren't looking too good on that front either... Plus, there arent many aftermarket externals for the VFC 417s, and my squadmate already runs the one I built him. Then this broken G28 shows up and I had an idea... Until this year, I always preferred my guns having a dedicated setup. My M27 stays as it is, its sights are zeroed, I dont pull attachments from other guns, etc. However, with me recently turning my VFC Jag Arms PHX-15 SBR (see previous page) into a hybrid Krytac LMG with a second upper, I started thinking of doing the same with my G28 LE. I mean, if I built a lower based around trigger response why wouldn't it work in a DMR as well as a BR? So I began working on it. In this period I saw the news from SHOT that HK had revamped their 417 program into a new model - the HK 417a2. Shiny, new, not made in airsoft to date, and best of all - in RAL8000, just like my spare G28 receivers. So to begin I stripped the 417 sniper parts off the standard and sold them. No need for them, so why not. Ill make someone else happy. Bought a 417 short rail off someone selling one. Ordered a short outer barrel and gas impingement system from VFC. Started asking for quotes from various techs I trust on AEG gearboxes. Started looking into HPA as well, cause why not. Decided to go HPA as it'd be about the same cost, and more importantly, much quieter. Ordered a REVO kit from Italy (3D printed kit that allows the G28 to take aftermarket triggers, more HPA engines, standard M4 hops, and more). Ordered one of the new Wolverine Reaper Gen 2 Premium engines. Ordered a speed trigger, the internals needed to make the revo kit work, and an r-hopped barrel from the guy I always get my barrels from. Then it was onto externals. Ordered a fully trademarked Eotech XPS, G33 magnifier, KAC irons (closest I could find to gen 2 HK 417 irons - wasnt going to pay that much for the real thing - the rear sight alone is $300...), a Magpul AFG, a Surefire M600DF, and one of my signature blue-lasered PEQs. Rail arrived, and it sent it off with another project that will be unveiled here soon to be cerakoted in RAL8000. Rail returns, and most attachments come in. Decide I need a case, so pick up a Eylar 53in rifle case. Big, but i figured I'd need it. Case arrives, REVO kit arrives, Reaper arrives, bipod ordered and arrives. Install what I can, but Im still waiting for the order from VFC. Rest of the externals come in. Barrel from VFC finally arrived this morning, so in it went, gun went together, foam was plucked, and the HK 417a2/G28 project was complete. Now I can switch back and forth from G28 or 417a2 on the field depending on the role I want to play. The REVO kit also allows for full auto, so if the game allows it that is available. A fun project, a real head-turner (I hope), and it should have excellent range and accuracy. Im happy. Every part that should be is also trademarked, which really adds to the overall look.
  12. Haha, sure. But itll have to wait until at least after the 26th; just spent the remainder of last month's paycheck on a like new KWA Vector haha.
  13. Well, while I wait for my outer barrel order from VFC to arrive so I can finally complete my 417a2 project (its been 4 months...), Ive been working on various other projects. About a month ago I got a great offer on a Krytac LMG upper, R-hopped barrel setup, and two box mags for about 160 quid. Well, I tried it on several of my various ARs I have lying around including a VFC M27, KWA SR-10, KWA SR-7, VFC KA PDW, CA AR-15, and a few more, yet it wouldn't fir on any. However, it would fit on my backup gun. See, I have this one gun that goes to every game with me, no matter if I am using a SMG, LMG, sniper, etc. I built it as my first high end AEG about 5 years ago at a teching class run by a shop im rather close friends with. Its a VFC Jag Arms PHX-15 SBR. The thing is a tank, holding around 300 FPS and 26RPS with an 11.1. I always bring it as something fancy always breaks, and after a MilSim two years ago where I had three of the 5 guns I brought go down I always bring the gun I affectionately call "Backup". Well, Backup's lower happened to fit the Krytac LMG upper. Backup is black with tan highlights, stock, grips, etc. Well, after installing the LMG upper I was not a fan of the Rogers SuperStock I had on it. It just seemed too small. So I got a PTS MOE Rifle AEG stock that would fit my brick LiPos, since an LMG should always have a bigger battery. Well, that turned out to not be great, as the stock took about 5 hours of modification to actually fit the gun. However, it now looks great and is solid. I also added a Vortex Crossfire T1 and an Eotech G33 magnifier on top (I may end up using an ELCAN like most of my other LMGs), and a Magpul AFG2 (may switch it to tan to match the look Backup's AR form has) and Harris-style bipod. Now, with about 10 minutes at home/20min on the field I can switch between Backup's AR and LMG forms.
  14. Anyone know where I can get a short mag for my KWA Vector? Willing to pay a pretty penny...

  15. Yea, Im always amazed at all day MilSims in the Southern US in late August, or really Autumn in general... Its not uncommon for me to drive out onto the field at ENDEX and pick up heatcas guys who are having trouble making it back to camp... Heck I almost never run long sleeves anymore, and I had Roman make me some short sleeve combat shirts so I can stay bougie yet cool.
  16. Picked up a GoPro Max. I already have a 7 Black so I didnt feel the need for an 8, but non of the sessions are up to date with the technology (mainly looking for image stabilization). The Max may have been a bit pricy, but I think Ill set it up like AirsoftCamMan's and itll work nicely.
  17. When you are sitting happily waiting for the final external order for a big project and realize a part has gone missing (like, teleported to the fine slopes of New Zealand to become a sheep kind of disappearing)... Guess thats going to be another 4 weeks from VFC...

  18. Well I found another deal who supposedly has the G28 T1 mounts in stock, so I ordered three. One for my G28, one for my MP7, and one more cause why not. Also had a bit of spare cash after the latest paycheck so I ordered the Wolverine Reaper mk2 Premium engine that I needed to be able to field the G28/417a2. Thats all the essentials, now its just accessories and such left to get. And, of course, I have to decide whether I want to put a UCS stock on it... And finally I was going to get the standard VFC G28 case, but measuring it makes the gun only like 1mm shorter than the case, so I instead went with a much larger two-gun case so I can fit everything in the box.
  19. Anyone got a spare VFC T1 mount? I know they made several hundred spares and my G28 came without one so Id love to find a replacement.

  20. I want to wait until they are finished before posting pics
  21. Another fun shipping run. So to begin, the (current) finishing touches for my MP7. Sandstorm IGL G&G ARP-9 drum TemplateAirsoft MP7 drum adapter Odin TM MP7 adapter As my MP7 project is approaching completion - ok not really, but Im waiting for my blue PEQs to come back in stock - I decided to start on my 417a2/G28 project. Im sending my spare 417 short rail off to be cerakoted this coming week, and through various retailers managed to find the following: 3x VFC G28 T1 mounts/sunshades (confirmed to be a false listing, trying again on a different site) 4x tan G28 midcaps (confirmed to be a false listing) A second G28 HK rail cover set (Confirmed to be a real listing) KAC flip up irons (closest I could find to HK 417a2 irons) (confirmed to be a real listing) (Once I get confirmation that these are all real offers I can send links to whoever needs them - they list most parts for G28s and the like. Dont want to post until I confirm they are legit) I also ordered a REVO kit (auto-aligning HPA mounting system that lets me use aftermarket triggers and microswitches instead of being forced to use G28 gearboxes, stock triggers, and stock trigger contacts). I will be putting a Wolverine Reaper Gen II in it, but I have to wait until next paycheck to order that. I figured I would order the custom things first since they will take awhile - I can have the Reaper here in 4 days after ordering. Looking forward to putting the finishing touches on my German kit with these guns. In the end I will be able to choose between my TM MP7a1 (yes, I am leaving it as an a1 for now, I can always convert it later. I cant go from a2 to a1 of course, so ima field it a few times and then reevaluate my decision), TM NGRS 416 Delta (the RAL one), the 417 (black), the 417a2 (RAL), or my G28 LE.
  22. Goodness this thing is such a meme... Meet my Nanogun I affectionately call "The Chode".
  23. But... That hand signal means freeze...
  24. Lol, just take it nice and slow. Use a dremel if you have one. Heres the guide several of us have used. https://atrg.blog/2019/04/22/how-to-install-a-wilcox-a2-front-rail-on-the-tokyo-marui-mp7a1/
