  1. Thanks for the info ? Will PM if I decide to order
  2. Yeah, price for any M712 or C96 thanks
  3. Yeah should be fine
  4. It varies by a few grams each time. I pull to a marked line then press the 'Hold' button to save the reading so I don't have to look at it while pulling.
  5. Yeah, same principle I guess. It does work quite well and testing a few springs you can make a chart of Kg vs resulting fps for a particular rifle. With enough samples from various rifles it should be possible to predict rough fps in general.
  6. What did he do?
  7. As Roger said, the fps for a particular spring depends a lot on the gas flow efficiency so you can never say exactly what fps you'll get with a certain spring. I've made a simple contraption to measure spring power in Kg which will help get an idea of the fps you'll get from your particular rifle. PM me if you want to buy one (£10)
  8. Before I started playing and being UKARA registered I did actually buy a RIF (MAC10) using the film defence but I had to show proof that I worked in an actual production company. So saying that you want to make your own film will not work...
  9. Erm, good luck with that...
  10. The piston O-ring is meant to be loose. As it travels forward the air is forced in the holes and expands the O-ring to make tit seal. There shouldn't be any holes in the piston itself though.
  11. Probably got a bit bent with the initial impact. Worst case you'll need a replacement outer barrel
  12. Welcome Lee Adding to what our Shamal said, check out www.playairsoft.uk a website made by our @shadowfacex ...and a few of us are older than 46 ?
  13. Yeah, worth keeping a couple of favourites in case... Sorry to hear but something else may come up to take all your time and money (not including a wife) There's always collecting and plinking in the garden ?
  14. I used to live in Israel and saw them being carried by civil defence quite a lot. I'll probably get one but I don't like the coating. I prefer unadulterated metal finish. I foresee a bit of right arm exercise in my future...
  15. I've got two hi-caps by different makes and neither work properly. At some point the spring just unwinds completely with a whizing sound. There has to be a lot of tension on the spring to feed all the BBs and the mechanism design just isn't strong enough to hold it. As you know, its not possible to wind as you play. I have more success with the STANAG adaptor but I use short (20rnd) Vietnam hi cap mag which is much more compact. Using the wheel on that as I play works fine. You do have to roll the gun left and right a bit to get the BBs to feed into the side mag.
  16. You can get various connector cables separately.
  17. Can't find the B6 in UK anymore. (the genuine ones supposedly have a hologram sticker on the bottom but I wouldn't count on it) This is the newer version (and good price) SkyRC S65 AC Charger 65W SK-100152-04 (modelsport.co.uk)
  18. Welcome ? Plenty of info in the forum so do lots of reading ? Yes, we always recommend renting first to get an idea of what kind of pewpew you'll want. ...and don't worry, some of us are over 50 ?
  19. Welcome ? There's always a learning curve and more gear to buy. LiPo batteries and intelligent charger are good long term investments. Lots of info in this forum.
  20. First thing to do is get a chrono ?
  21. Not sure about running an airsoft site but its certainly NOT possible to go to some empty woods and play. Permits and insurance are minimum requirements. As a player there is no requirement to go to a site and play. Not sure if all the sites are UKARA registered so would need to look at their website or call. But to be clear, UKARA exists only for retailers to satisfy the law regarding selling to legitimate airsoft players. If a site is UKARA registered just means that they will record the number of times you play so that after 3 games you will be put on the list of airsoft players and given your UKARA number. Then you can buy realistic imitation firearms. (RIFs)
  22. Welcome werkzeug ? Have a look here for sites near you: UK Airsoft Map — PlayAirsoft And then look for reviews of the sites to see if worth going. We always recommend playing the 3 games to be UKARA registered because it also allows you to decide what kind of toy you'll want to get. GBB is fine as long as its below fps limits same as AEGs You'll need to check with site rules as they can vary but in general: Auto capable: 350fps Single shot: (No auto switch) 450fps Bolt action: 500fps With 0.2g BB
  23. We've got the 'Before' pic so now waiting for the 'After' pic... ? Hope you don't get any permanent marks ?
