  1. Heads up, I’ve now tried 5 different slides (Proarms, detonator x 2, mafioso and wiitech) for the gen5 and so far the Wiitech seems to be the winner (depending on what you want from a pistol). It comes with steel rails to protect the aluminium body from wear. it also comes with a steel fluted threaded barrel and a matching 6.03 brass TBB. The comps and thread protectors are pretty fairly priced as well. The kit is drop in (although you’ll need to slightly modify the sights if you have pro arms tritium supressor sights). it’s also in the midrange of slide prices. Mine was £170 inc shipping (so £200 after tax). The detonator slides and mafiosio were far more expensive. I’ve also got a near identical mafioso steel slide G17.5. The kit is fantastic quality and comes with a full assembled guide rod specifically for the slide set. its a heavy slide but the gen5 gas system moves is scarily easily. It recoils faster than some of my gen3s with aluminium slides. Both G17.5s have the same internals: -CCT piston lid -CCT spring set - Wiitech 200% recoil springs - Wiitech steel recoil rod - Wiitech aluminium recoil spring cage - JDG magwell - Proarms tritium sights
  2. I’ve given myself a headache trying to process what’s going on with that surefire ??
  3. takes Mapgul and PTS grips, so will accept any M4 RS grip ? im debating getting the MP9 version as well. But it means buying more mags ?
  4. Legit Leupolds are evidently a massive contributor to violent crime ? I suspect he hasn’t spent as much as he claims ? he hasn’t listed brands of important parts like the slide or barrel… and he hasn’t mentioned the name of the tech despite charging the next owner for that work.
  5. This is my latest addition to my collection. Lambda Defence GHM9-G
  6. So this is my glock collection at present: 12 various glock 2 FMG-9s. Got an agent tracer is one, made my own tracer for the other.
  7. Here is my AKX as it stands.
  8. Upgrades I buy for every single RIF: - SS tight bore barrel (typically PDI or maple leaf). - hop rubber (typically flamingo 50 or nineball airseal). - maple leaf I-bar. those 3 upgrades will typically cost me £45-60 (barrel being the most expensive bit) per RIF and makes a world of difference to the performance of the RIF. I dont own any AEGs, so these upgrades are specific to GBBP and GBBR… but a decent inner barrel and hop bucking would be helpful for an AEG as well ?
  9. Finished this build ?? RWA urban combat 2.0 in tinted black cherry. steel threaded barrel with 417 compensator. all the matching AGA furniture. AGA stippled grip with the big A Full steel internals.
  10. In my opinion, the modbutton and M300 work well together, I use an integrated one. They cost about £35 total from AliExpress.
  11. There’s nothing wrong with the TM hop chassis. You could go steel if you were running co2 or HPA. But they’re fine stock. I’ve got 11 gen 3 glocks now and all have the same set up: - Nineball purple air seal hop rubber - maple leaf I-Bar - airsoft masterpiece stainless steel hop arm - maple leaf CNC hop wheel. The game changer is actually the AM hop arm. It’s about 2mm shorter than the OEM hop arm, it allows you to apply more pressure on the bucking than the standard hop arm. Being stainless steel, it also flexes less than the stock arm. You could also go for a better hop bucking, such as the pink flamingos. I rate them more than the nineball purple air seals… however, I bought all these hop rubbers before I realised there was something better. I run .25s and 0.28s, but on full hop, my Glocks over hop 0.28s straight up. if you’ve got the money, a good combination is also the guns modify steel hop, with their steel front frame and a barrel stabiliser clip. The 3 bits combined remove all inner barrel wobble and create a very consistent shot. That being said, some U.K. retailers would sell you those 3 parts for £220 ?
  12. I sourced the magazines from this forum. I wasn’t quick enough to get them directly from WGCShop. I’m not thrilled by the magazines. The AKX can’t depress the exit valve on any of them using Nuprol 2.0. The gas well design is also terrible so half of the magazines have a slow leak from the base. It can be fixed with a bigger oring… but it’s still a stupid problem to have. im waiting on new exit valves to see if that fixes the green gas problem. And I need to source the orings to see if that solves the problem.
  13. Got my AKX. Generally happy with it. It’s hot on Green gas and the stock hop unit struggles with anything over 0.25s. I’ve fitted a Bavtac nub and a nineball air seal hop rubber, I’m now flinging 0.28s dead straight with the hop on its lowest setting. im waiting on a volante full travel bolt and a TBB. currently my AKX doesn’t have the hammer strength to depress the exit valve of my G&P mags using Nuprol 2.0. So I need to figure out how to solve that. I suspect the easiest solution will be to change a spring in the trigger box. But I haven’t looked yet. Alternative is to fit OEM Marui exit valves… which I haven’t been able to source.
  14. So with a few UK retailers now stocking it. I thought this might be a good opportunity to show off our TWS 9mm GBBRs. I got mine about 4 months ago from HK, shortly before I found out that UK retailers were getting stock. I’ve not really spent much time with GBBR ARs so this has been a steep learning curve. Because the TWS isn’t quite an AR-15, nothing really seems to have fit as expected. Changes so far: - bifrost tracer instead of the steel flash hider. - CNC light weight bolt - Rainer Arms charging handle - ace1arms tactical G17 magazines - G&P PDW stock - guarder light weight buffer - 3D printer buffer tube short stroke discs - G&P BAD ambi selector - Magpul MOE grip - GBL Cpt America hop unit - Nineball purple hop rubber - maple leaf 6.02 SS TBB - Modified I-Key - RATECH anti reversal pins - RATECH magic receiver pin - steel counter sunk screws for the M-lol rail (imo the ones supplied out of the box are not suitable). I’ve also modded the bolt stop to accept TM magazines. So now the bolt holds open on empty for all my G17 and G19 magazines. I’d like to fit a flat trigger or a burst kit, but both are proving hard to find for the WA system. There’s a retailer in france with stock of both, but he wasn’t respond to my emails and his online payment system is down.
  15. So I’ve got 2 bifrost, an Acetech lighter S and an old school TM tracer. the TM tracer is 15 years old, it’s battered. But it works as well as the day I bought it. My two bifrost have been reliable. I’m not a massive fan of the flash on the front… but they seem to be the most robust. my lighter S I’ve butchered for a custom project because it’s been hit with a bb and now doesn’t charge properly. It will say it’s fully charged… but I get maybe 20 minutes of use out of it. generally from what I’ve seen of my own use and on the forums, the small acetech tracers are not really robust enough to be fit for purpose. I’ve never been successful returning one though.
  16. Small update. I’ve not had much time on this due to cash flow bottle necks and family stuff. I’ve got a final chassis that holds the tracer in place. I just need to buy various tracers and see which fits best. I’m also very close to getting the long barrel adapter sorted.
  17. So it fits exactly as I’d hoped! I just need to modify the design slightly to allow for a longer inner barrel to be fitted.
  18. So right now it’s a Lighter S, but for a similar reason, it failed on me, so it’s not costing my anything to cut and grind it down to fit. I’m able to run power through it to check I’m not shorting or disconnecting anything… but functionally it’s U/S. Acetech have also informed me that the Lighter S and the Lighter C are discontinued so my next Acetech option would be the lighter R. I’ve been recommended to look at the Xcortech or G&G equivalent. If either of them fit and are reliable, I’ll probably go with that. Got a second round of prototypes out of the printer. Will test them tonight. Ones a barrel extension stabiliser and thread adapter. The other is the tracer adapter with a protective front face.
  19. I’m working on a barrel extension/ stabiliser kit for the FMG9. It should have printed today, so I’ll be collecting it tomorrow ?
  20. A little while ago, I got an AFG-9. The AEGIS TM spec one. I thought “wouldn’t it be cool if you could fit a tracer in that internal dead space”… Long story short (and several dead tracers later), I have a working prototype. it’s a removable unit that fits in the space between the charging handle and the front of the kit. It’s been challenge as there’s not a lot of space between the front of the kit and front of the charging handle slide racker. I plan to sell these as a complete drop in kit for those who have an AEGIS AFG-9 in the U.K. However I still have refine the design and see which tracers can be modified to fit internally. I’m also working on a thread adapter that doubles as an inner barrel stabiliser, as you can run a 160mm TBB right up to the end of the FMG-9 kit. I’ll probably end up sharing the CAD files online for those who don’t live in the U.K. or don’t want to pay for a complete kit.
  21. Hi! I’ve got a Milspec M4 buffer tube that has likely got too much paint on the thread. I'm looking for a 1-3/16-16UN thread die to clean the thread. Does anyone happen to have one I could borrow, or know of a tech who has the die? a new one from a reputable shop would cost me nearly £100… And I’m not sure about buying one from China, as if it’s wrong, it will f*ck up a stock tube and stock that’s discontinued and irreplaceable. I’ve confirmed the thread is definitely 1-3/16-16 as I’ve run a Milspec barrel nut over it. Both tubes measure at 1.185inch. So all things considering, they’re the same… However the thread on the new stock tube is ever so slightly too tight to get onto the receiver.
  22. Bought an old Limcat H-bar from someone. Had it and the frame cerakoted to breathe some new life into it. I’m in awe of this colour ?? I also absolutely wrecked the paintwork on my AA G19. The same guys did a clean camo job on it to make it look new again! Inspired by the hillbilly cerakote that RWA are doing on their latest batches of AA slides.
  23. Dead impressed with the Ebog-designs hi-capa holster. Clicks into place nicely, blocks the slide and trigger, fits a QLS and allows for torch, RMR and other attachments.

Tested on a gold match and D.O.R, no issues so far.

@Barnyi’d recommend it! They’re very cost effective and versatile! 3 out of 4 of my hi-capas fit in this holster in pretty much any configuration. Where as my Kydex holster only takes a specific hi-capa with specific torch.

I've pulled the trigger.... one on its way ?

  24. Pretty much done.
Need to figure out how to remove the front post so I can fit tritium suppressor sights. Requires M&P9 front post and G17 rear according to RWA.

In the mean time, I’m going to look for wide head m2.5x8mm screws for the RMR.

  25. So, this is turning out to be a lot more work than first anticipated ?

@rocketdogbertWhen GM made this slide, they made a whole load of contrary design decisions. The main ones causing the headache right now are:

      - Non-standard sight holes (cant use TM or UMAREX sights on them... only very specific GM sights which are £80 if you can find them in stock).

      - non-standard RMR screw holes. Every RMR slide I've owned before hand uses M3 10.9 screws to mount the sight. GM use 2.5M 10.9... which weren't included with the slide and aren't included with the RMRs.

Once I have the RMR on, and I'd fiddled with it, I'll be much happier :)

I'm super happy with how it looks though.
