  1. yea, got a bunch of deans and mini-t male and female ends on the way. ill test the motor when I get home.
  2. Tbh, using a springer as a primary that's not a bolt action is probably a bad idea, but it could bring some laughs as well. Welcome, btw
  3. Haha, I don't actually do that on my bed. I got a table downstairs I've set up as my shop; to the dismay of my mother. I got away with it when I was doing school engineering projects, but until I get a better option, the unused room will be my workplace.
  4. And should I be getting anything else at the same time (multimeter?)?
  5. Aright, I am now in a position to test the motors; and about to get a bill for my jump into electrical (airsoft) engineering. Got a soldering kit already (done quite a bit of that already), as well as solder, a few meters of wires, wire cutters, wire strippers, and more. About to buy a bunch or deans and mini-t connectors, shrink wrap, and more... Anyway, is this an ok (and safe (ish)) setup to bypass the trigger and attempt to activate the motor? I've got my pilot flame-proof gloves at the ready just in case I set my bed sheets on fire... Also, you can see the battery I melted the mini-t connectors on...
  6. Annoyed... The Mall's site says they have open spaces, but apparently, they don't...

I know, don't get me wrong. This session was gonna be my reward for suffering through a 3 full-day IB Biology revision course an hours drive away... I guess I'll just have to go next weekend.

Ah...bad luck dude. Still if the revision course is hard the exam should be a breeze!

The course is fine... The fact that it's almost 8 hours of Biology with only 20 minutes of break every two hours that's hard...

  7. unfortunatly, no. also, until I get new connectors for my battery, I cant. shouldnt be too long
  8. Nope, just shiny grease
  9. Wires are correct; this worked once upon a time, and I haven moved those wires
  10. Ok, here the area I think y'all asked to see. If it's not, I'll go take more pics.
  11. With dean connectors.
  12. Alright then, so I should buy new batteries?...
  13. alright; im in a rather boring full-day biology revision course right now, but ill be home in an hour or so and do that.
  14. yea. When I got the gun it was wired to deans; thats where I got the deans connector from. I used a spare mini i had to rewire it. so ill just order a new one
  15. Ive opened the gearbox before, and know it well enough. Dont know about multimeters. anyway, I need to get a new battery connector. I actually have a deans connector, but no deans batteries. Should I get deans batteries or just a new mini-Tamiya connector?
  16. in that case, anyone have ny idea about testing trigger connections?
  17. Ill look into the motor when I get home. I have messed up wiring twice; once the wire leading to the hutu fried, and recently I was working on it, and must have accidently made a connection between two wires leading to the battery. Melted both the battery connector and the connector on the gun...
  18. Haha. It's my M4, and it needs a bit of work done to it. It needs rewiring, for starters, and it needs either a new motor or trigger connections. I've looked it up, and I'm not really comfortable trying to fix those; fried more wires last night trying to... Luke at The Mall said something about Airsoft Armoury, but I don't have a clue as to what he meant.
  19. Hello, I am wondering where you can get a gun fixed, preferably near Ascot. Thanks
  20. Welcome, can't really help you on your other questions but I'm sure some of the vets on here will know.
  21. Actually, the thing is that I get nothing at all when I pull the trigger. The batteries are charged, and current is flowing (as the HUTU is on), but I get absolutely no movement or sound. I opened it up, reset all the gears, degreased and re-greased everything, and put it aside for the night. I need to re-solder some of the wires, so I'll do that in the morn and then put it all back together. Maybe it will work... Actually, from the sound of it (or lack of), it could be the motor that's the problem...
  22. Haha friz, yea, I've opened it up before, but wasn't sure if I missed anything. Update soon.
  23. Hello, I'm going to try to take apart my M4 and diagnose the issue with its gearbox. The power is working, as my Madbull HUTU is working. It's most likely a stripped gear. Any advice is welcome. First question, which I may figure out before a response is given; How do you remove the gearbox from a G&P M4 body?
