  1. I think the G&G mags are a different design to the KJW ones? (G&G absolutely love cloning things and then changing everything so that it's not compatible anymore). I know the magazines as a whole aren't cross compatible so it's probable the knock arms, etc aren't. Side note after tinkering with the M700 I got recently, what an absolutely Acme-ass firing system they have.
  2. I think we're agreeing with each other here, yeah.
  3. The VMags have a feed track that's too narrow, and you need to butcher it a bit to allow the BBs to stack properly.
  4. Yeah sadly there's a good amount of "get what you pay for" with GBBs. Not always the case, but generally like CF said the clones are cheap for a reason and don't last.
  5. I'd definitely look at TM options. The others can be fixer uppers, or are just a shell for the ugliest aftermarket kits you'll ever see lmao.
  6. Another stonkin' Andreyy deal: https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/gas-powered_1/ks-1-kac-royal-marines-commandos_i87164 Land Warrior do it new for £750 and even with all those extra trinkets, £1200 is a joke.
  7. Eh, I guess it depends on how serious is serious. It's part of the LARP to engage with it as if it matters. Otherwise it's a bit like turning up for a five a side and telling everyone to chill out and have a beer for the 90 minutes. Obviously it's games at the end of the day and you shouldn't go burning bridges over the results, but IMO it's more fun to take it seriously while you're playing it.
  8. If you're around the Central Belt of Scotland I have a sneaking suspicion we go to the same site. 😂
  9. People really sell a discontinued gun as "ultra rare OOP not many of these left ££££s" when they should really be valued as "you will curse the bastard who sold you this when you find the first broken, proprietary part in it with no hope of buying another."
  10. For me, the objective of Airsoft is to win, and I do my best to win while playing fair. The *aim*, is to have fun doing so. It's a balancing act IMO. On the one hand, going all drill sergeant at your team and getting up in people's faces over the results is bad in any hobby. On the other, you kinda ideally want your team to be energised and giving it a good go. A very small minority of players seem to think trying at all is a bit cringe, lmao. I find it's fun to try and gin up folks for a push, or to hold a spot. Most people want to get stuck in but get a bit lost or a bit overwhelmed, so giving them a job tends to work. If they're hiding behind a tree all game as the action moves away from them, a gentle nudge to come along with a few others seems to work. Especially if you remind them why they're there. That's way to cool a gun to not come push up with us, you wanna cover our flank while we try and go straight in?
  11. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/aap-01c-custom-build/ Man this listing is gunna outlive us all
  12. 1.5mm hex key for the NPAS. It'll probably benefit from heavier BBs than .25s as well
  13. What's the ranking?
  14. That does look pretty jank ngl
  15. It's so he can point to it as proof to the Mrs that has selling it all up but just...no one is biting.
  16. https://youtu.be/xgV8ZByAF4s?si=RqkBJxwnSlKP0NZb Oh YouTube doesn't auto embed. rip
  17. It seems to lock up well ATM but it's pot metal lugs so I don't have huge faith in the long term
  18. Are you sure the Double Bell is compatible with those mags? Is there any difference between the DB AK mags and the Cyma ones? How deep they go into the magwell, the height of the feed tube, etc, etc
  19. Haha, I've heard a lot about these both good and bad, but I do love a teching challenge. I may see if I can build it as a non-Takedown version but well see. I'm still stripping it down to clean and grease it. So much gunk, metal shavings, and dirt, but hey that's what I expected tbf. Bargain price if I get it running well. A few steel aftermarket parts in there as well, including most of the bolt.
  20. Picked up the M700 box of parts that was selling on here recently. Should be a fun project getting it up and running!
  21. I don't think the lighting is doing it any favours there
  22. The VFC AK, genuinely, does not need any aftermarket internally. A few people have tried different barrels, buckings, etc in it but it doesn't give any benefit. Everything is steel as well. Only things I'd suggest is installing an X-ring in the nozzle, and of course an adjustable valve. First one gives better cycling in the cold, the latter should just be in everything it's that handy. You can get real parts for the AK if you wanna dress it up a bit btw. DandBMilitaria is UK based and has some nice stuff. I got a proper sling for mine, for example. The URGI can need some TLC but honestly don't fuck with it unless you have issues. There's mods to fix hop inconsistency and improve cycling, but it can be fiddly to get them set up.
  23. Tbf the DE he tested came off pretty badly in that one as well. Considering he's running them at about 2J towards the end, it's weird how much his guns underperform.
  24. This whole thing is hilarious
